The Ferrari F40 was the first road car in Ferrari history to be built with various composite materials such as Kevlar for the chassis, fiberglass for the bodywork, aeronautical resins for the tanks and Plexiglas for the side windows.
At the time of its presentation, it held the record for the fastest road car ever built with its claimed 324 km/h.
